School Readiness
Will my child be ready for school? What are things my child will need to know in kindergarten? Though there are variations in different school systems, the materials below have been developed with input from Transition Teams across the state. These teams are made up of teachers and administrative staff from child care, preschool, Head Start, Pre-K, public and private schools, and others who work to ensure young children’s healthy development and readiness for school success. The materials are designed for use in the year before school entry, and we encourage you to ask if your school system has similar materials that can help you ensure that your child enters school with the best chance for success.
